R-23 and R-38 Dense Pack Blown Insulation

Insight homes are insulated using dense pack insulation system.  This insulation system blows dry, white, formaldehyde free fiberglass insulation that is loose, into walls, ceilings, and attics.  The blown system creates a custom filling around wiring and fixtures, eliminating energy wasting voids and air gaps.  Once the insulation is in place, the fibers adhere to each other, and pack into a very dense insulation.  This allows for an R23 insulation rating in our walls, and an R factor of 38 for the insulation in our ceilings.  Typical 2 x 4 exterior framing and batted insulation, only allows for R13-R15 for walls.  Even with 2 x 6 framing, batted insulation only allows for R19 in walls.  By using the perfect fill system, you are guaranteed a perfect insulation every time.  No gaps around wires or voids in walls. In summary, using loose fill dense pack insulation system, in conjunction with our advanced framing, the amount and quality of the insulation you will receive, with an Insight Home, is one of the best in the industry.  As a bonus, this type of insulation is also a great sound deadener.  When inside an Insight Home, you will notice that the amount of street noise you hear is greatly reduced, as to that of a typical home.
