Whole House Dehumidifier

In the typical home, the air conditioner does the dehumidification for you.  But what do you do if the temperature is in the mid to low 70’s and you don’t really need the air conditioning, but the humidity is at 85%?  When a dehumidifier works in conjunction with your HVAC equipment – there are two key benefits; 

First of all, your home will feel more comfortable.  Latent temperature is the temperature “you feel” versus the temperature that’s “real”.  75 degrees with 80% humidity feels much warmer than 75 degrees with 50% humidity.  Benefit two is something that you don’t directly “feel”, but is at least equally, if not more important than comfortable room temperature.   Mold and dust mites cannot thrive in an environment where the humidity range is around 50%.  This is one of the many steps Insight takes to insure better indoor air quality.
