Several years ago Insight Homes began to develop a concept for new home construction based upon a study of superior energy efficiency, home health related issues and the desire to use environmentally friendly and renewable resources.  After experimenting with seven generations of a single home plan we were able to achieve our goal of a HERS score of 56.   Our homes are guaranteed to be within the top 1% of energy efficient homes in the nation while also meeting requirements of the American Lung Association Health House and the approval of the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. In addition, the homes offer superior features such as a central vacuum system, front load washer and dryer, tankless hot water heater, 15 seer air conditioning, 97% efficient gas furnace, high energy efficient windows, superior Merv 10 air filters, Corian countertops, cherry cabinetry, Energy Star appliances, superior warranty program and more. All of this offered at a lower cost per square foot of homes showing lesser features.
