2 Stage 97% Efficient Gas Furnace

Insight Homes includes a Goodman two stage gas furnace with a variable speed blower.  Gas heat has always been a very warming heat source, but the problem has been that it only has two settings – off and on.  So, as the heater would come on, the house would become comfortably warm.  But, when it goes off, the room cools off significantly before it comes back on again.  With a 2 stage furnace combined with a variable speed blower, what you have is a superior heat source that also keeps the home a more consistently comfortable environment, preventing temperature swings.  The variable speed fans motor adjusts its speed to provide a consistent flow of warm, comfortable air with quiet operation.  What exactly do we mean by “97% efficient”?  97% refers to an AFUE rating.  AFUE stands for Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency. It's a measure of how well an appliance converts fuel into heat. The furnace in an Insight Home has an AFUE rating of 97 percent. That means that 97 cents out of every dollar you spend on fuel ends up as useful heat.  Once again, saving you money and increasing the overall energy efficiency of your home.
